E-learning and LSI National Credentialing Register

John has worked with the credentialing and medical training industry for 10 years through the development of an online training portal and the MIA scheme website. In 2017 John set up Medical Industry Ltd to provide NHS and compliance training working closely with industry bodies including the ABHI and the Life Science Industry Register.
John has also owned and managed award-winning web development and digital marketing agency MCM Net Ltd for the past 21 years. This gives Medical Industry Ltd direct and immediate access to the latest trends and cutting-edge technology in the e-learning arena provided by a team of 20 developers and marketers.
In his spare time he loves to run, travel and where possible combine the two by sightseeing whilst hoping for a medal at the end of it!
Qualifications: Business studies BTEC national diploma.
John’s role within Medical Industry is to help develop online learning content and give guidance on corporate strategy. On the rare occasion when John is not at his desk or seeing customers he can be found flying helicopters, mowing the lawn or playing snooker really badly.
Kevin joined Medical Industry Ltd in 2019 with 10 years’ experience in providing NHS market access and marketing solutions. During this time Kevin was the team leader for the medtech division within Wilmington Healthcare and was part of the team responsible for the development of their online platforms and multi-channel communications.
Kevin is now responsible for growth of Medical Industry Ltd’s training solutions that develop medtech and pharma industry representatives with the overall objective to improve knowledge and increase standards within the NHS.
As a new dad a lot of Kevin’s spare time is spent with his family going swimming, exploring parks and visiting farms, but before then he enjoyed mountain biking, playing football and supporting Tottenham Hotspur.
Theresa has worked at Medical Industry since April 2018, having previously worked at Wellards in the customer support team and then East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as a senior administrator.
Previously she worked for an award-winning marketing agency, as an email and web content manager, managing email and newsletter creation for global IT clients as well as being responsible for the maintenance of two company portals.
Her role is to assist in the management of the accounts; from queries, monthly statement run, raising invoices for cardholders and companies, including card annual renewals and training revalidations.
Theresa is also responsible for overseeing the improvements and content that appears on the website.
Outside of work Theresa enjoys travelling, reading, walking and spending time with her family.
Nicola has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years wearing many different hats, including publishing, conferences and data analytics. Whilst working for Binley’s/Wilmington Healthcare, Nicola joined the Wellards team and in June 2018 began working for Medical Industry Ltd.
Her main role is to develop relationships with medical product and pharma companies, promoting Medical Industry’s expertise in providing all types of training for these companies, working on a variety of bespoke and more general requirements, such as MIA.
In her spare time, Nicola spends as much time as possible in Montenegro and whilst in England, she is an avid cook who also loves photography.
Belinda started at Wellards in 2013 and began supporting the MIA service not long after joining. As MIA grew, she got involved in more areas of the service, including card annual renewals and training revalidations, as well as assisting with the all-important invoicing! Like others on the team, she moved with MIA when it was taken over by Medical Industry Ltd and now ensures the smooth running of the invoicing function. Her previous experience as an event manager means she remains organised and focused at all times.
When she is not at work or being a school-run mum, Belinda enjoys reading, going on long walks with the family and the odd bit of baking when time allows.
Laura has worked in the healthcare industry for the last nine years, starting in the healthcare research sector with Medicys Ltd and then joining the MIA team under Wellards before transferring to Medical Industry in 2017.
Her role mainly involves working closely with healthcare providers and their accounts, although she can sometimes be found working in other areas of the business with cardholders and developing MIA.
Laura is an avid scuba diver and is often found diving all year round in the UK. She has just started to take up running and exploring the forest trails where she lives in the New Forest.
Carolyn has worked at Medical Industry Ltd since February 2019, having previously worked in data inputting and data management. She has also previously helped implement new stock control systems in retail stores.
Her role includes providing support to NHS and Private Healthcare Providers and aiding implementation and training. Alongside this she helps run the social media accounts and provides administrative support to the sales team.
In her free time she enjoys travelling and eating chocolate.
Ed has worked in the pharma/medtech sector since 2002 when he joined Wellards and then over the next 15 years helped the company move from books and CD-roms to websites and apps. Previous to that he worked in various publishing roles, including experience at Yell.com. At Wellards, Ed helped set up MIA with the ABHI when it was launched in 2013 and he has been involved in the service ever since.
He helped form Medical Industry Ltd when it took over the running of MIA from Wilmington Healthcare in 2017 and gets involved in a bit of everything, from writing content and helping clients implement the LSI National Credentialing Register, through to assisting with website improvements.
Outside of work Ed enjoys playing the snare drum in a samba band, watching Southend United FC, drinking obscure craft ales and of course spending time with his wife and young daughter.
Garry has worked in the pharma and medtech space since 2002 when he first joined Binley's (healthcare directories). Working initially within the advertising sales team, then promoted to data sales and management of the reference sales team, he later specialised in sales to the NHS and healthcare sector.
After the purchase of Binley's by Wilmington plc, his specialist knowledge helped him became a CRM specialist KAM working with some of Wilmington's largest clients; a role he successfully held for a number of years until a new challenge of Wellards Account Manager became available.
Like a number of his colleagues, he left Wilmington and served a six-month non-compete before joining Medical Industry Ltd as our key contact with the pharmaceutical industry in November 2018.
Garry has an enviable work/life balance, spreading his time between the UK and Spain.
Katrina has been supporting pharma and medtech since 2013 when she joined Wellards. She has always worked in the customer care world, having previously worked at King & McGaw art publishers as an administrator after graduating from the Winchester School of Arts.
She moved to Medical Industry Ltd when it took over the running of MIA in summer 2017 and is responsible for responding to client enquiries, training setups and processing of MIA ID cards.
When not in the office, Katrina enjoys exploring new places, going on country walks with occasional stops at local pubs for her favourite tipple (G&T) and making memories with family and friends.
Tom joined the Medical Industry team in October 2019 having spent 4 years in the dental industry, specifically focusing on the business administration side of things (not clinical, teeth are “gross” according to Tom). Bobby our Office Dog, and Tom’s bios could almost be the same, with Tom also offering a warm welcome to anyone entering the office with food or treats.
Tom’s role includes providing support to cardholders and companies; processing ID cards, training setups and uploading credentials. As well as this Tom provides administrative support to the Sales team.
When not at work, Tom can be found in (m)any of the local pubs or on his sofa, watching a number of television programmes that Belinda, Katrina & Theresa have recommended.
Meet Bobby our office dog, ensuring a warm welcome to everyone and anyone with food or treats. Bobby's great at lifting morale, chasing balls and picking up crumbs from the office floor!
